Scientific Research-Based Intervention (SRBI)

The Scientifically Research Based Intervention (SRBI) approach is implemented in the Rocky Hill Public Schools. All students are provided daily access to the grade-level appropriate curriculum in what is called Tier 1 instruction. Students who are experiencing academic difficulties in Tier 1 receive additional support from intervention teachers. Tier 2 support takes place in a smaller group setting with targeted assistance in students’ areas of difficulty. Students’ progress is monitored closely to make certain that students are benefiting from this instruction. If students are still having difficulty with Tier 2 support, they may receive academic assistance with greater intensity and frequency known as Tier 3 support. The goal is for all students to achieve to their greatest potential.
