Minutes of Meeting

A special meeting of the Finance Committee of the Rocky Hill Board of Education was held on Wednesday, April 28, 2004, in the superintendent's conference room. Present were: Anne Schmidt, Nadine Bell, Charles McMonigle, Neil Geldof, Peter Arico, Francis Palazzolo, Director of Finance & Operations Gregory P. Turansky, and Supt. of Schools Dr. J. A. Camille Vautour. The meeting was called to order at 8:15 a.m.

Status Report on 2003-04 Budget

Mr. Turansky indicated that he had no update at this time, but would be providing information at the next committee meeting.

2004-05 Budget

Discussion was held on the upcoming review of the Board’s budget by the Town Council. In preparing for the review it was agreed that a set of materials should be prepared covering the following topics.

Ø Summary of total budget request

Ø Summary of increases by major categories

Ø Summary of personnel reductions

Ø Summary of reductions made by superintendent of schools

Ø Summary of reductions made by Board of Education

Ø Information on per pupil expenditures

The meeting adjourned at 9:30 a.m.
