Minutes of Meeting

A special meeting of the Finance Committee of the Rocky Hill Board of Education was held on Thursday, June 16, 2005, in the superintendent's conference room. Present were: Anne Schmidt, Nadine Bell, Charles McMonigle, Neil Geldof, Director of Finance & Operations Gregory P. Turansky, and Supt. of Schools Dr. J. A. Camille Vautour. The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m.

Status 2004-05 Budget

Mr. Turansky indicated that at this time he was confident the budget would close out with at least $90,000 remaining. The committee agreed to recommend to the full Board that $90,000 be transferred into the West Hill flooring account to complete the installation of marmoleum in the remaining classrooms. Should any monies beyond $90,000 be found, the committee indicated that administration should apply said funds to equipment cut from the 2005-05 budget.

Coding Issues

Mr. Turansky indicated that the State is now requiring new codes for certain budget items. The codes in question are:

• 2260 – Security
• 2230 – Instruction-Related Technology
• 2540 – Planning, Research, Development and Evaluation Services

Mr. Turansky indicated these codes would be in place for the 2006-07 budget planning process.
