Minutes of Meeting

A special meeting of the Finance Committee of the Rocky Hill Board of Education was held on Tuesday, August 3, 2004, in the superintendent's conference room. Present were: Anne Schmidt, Charles McMonigle, Neil Geldof, Peter Arico, Francis Palazzolo, Catherine Vargas, Director of Finance & Operations Gregory P. Turansky, and Supt. of Schools Dr. J. A. Camille Vautour. The meeting was called to order at 8:10 a.m.

Mr. Turansky reported that the books for the 2003-04 fiscal year were closed with a balance of $0 remaining. A review of major budget variances was provided on a program by program basis and Board member questions were responded to by both Mr. Turansky and Dr. Vautour.

Mrs. Schmidt stated that the 2004-05 fiscal year has begun with no identified budget concerns to date, but requested that the Committee be notified in the event a problem does arise, particularly in the area of special education tuition.

The meeting adjourned at 9:20 a.m.
