Minutes of Meeting

A special meeting of the Policy Committee of the Rocky Hill Board of Education was held on Thursday, August 19, 2004, in the superintendent's conference room. Present were: Catherine Vargas, J. Kirk Bostwick, Peter Arico, Nadine Bell, and Supt. of Schools J. A. Camille Vautour. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

Dr. Vautour reviewed the fact that Griswold obtained an Automated External Defibrillator through a grant with the American Heart Association and Hartford Hospital. Before the defibrillator can be put to use, the Board must adopt a policy concerning same.

Dr. Vautour presented the proposed policy wording indicating that it had been reviewed by personnel at Hartford Hospital, as well as, the district’s medical advisor.

Committee members agreed to submit the proposed policy for first reading to the Board of Education.

The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
