Minutes of Meeting

A special meeting of the Facilities Committee of the Rocky Hill Board of Education was held on Thursday, October 7, 2004, in the superintendent's conference room. Present were: J. Kirk Bostwick, Catherine Vargas, Peter Arico, Nadine Ball, Anne Schmidt, Director of Finance & Operations Gregory P. Turansky, and Supt. of Schools Dr. J. A. Camille Vautour. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Bostwick indicated that were a number of items for which updates were needed. Through discussion the committee concluded the following should occur.

v Dr. Vautour should confer with Barbara Gilbert to clarify the status of the RFQ addressing space issues in our schools.

v Dr. Vautour was asked to clarify with Barbara Gilbert the status of responses to the Fire Marshal’s Inspection Report.

v A meeting between the Facilities Committee and Government Operations Committee should be scheduled to address.

Ø Indoor air quality plan

Ø Technology infrastructure needs for schools since we are reaching the point where reliance on a wireless system may no longer be feasible

Ø Clarification of capitol projects vs. maintenance items

The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
