Minutes of Meeting

A special meeting of the Facilities Committee of the Rocky Hill Board of Education was held on Thursday, February 16, 2006, in the superintendent's conference room. Present were: Committee Chair Peter Arico, Committee Members Anne Schmidt and Jennifer Viggiano-Grosse, Board Members Neil Geldof, Rene Rivard, and Catherine Vargas, Director, Finance and Operations, Gregory P. Turansky, and Supt. of Schools J. A. Camille Vautour. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

Capital Projects List

Mr. Arico indicated that at a recent meeting with the mayor and town manager agreement was reached on the issue of the so-called Ranger System (telecommunications) at Griswold Middle School and the Wide Area Network (WAN). Both of these items will be reflected in Mr. Cooke’s budget. Funding for both of these projects will be finalized later in the spring once the impact of full costs is better defined.

Feasibility Study

The feasibility study has been received from Schoenhardt Architects. A meeting will be scheduled in the week following the February break to discuss the various systems and consider recommendations to the full Board.
