Minutes of Meeting

 

 

A special meeting of the Facilities Committee of the Rocky Hill Board of Education was held on Thursday, August 18, 2005, in the superintendent's conference room.  Present were:  Kirk Bostwick, Peter Arico, Anne Schmidt, Catherine Vargas, Nadine Bell, Neil Geldof, Supt. of Schools Dr. J. A. Camille Vautour and visitors Charles Wisnioski and Liz Daigle.  The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

 

Feasibility Study

Dr. Vautour indicated that Schoenhardt architects were making progress on the feasibility study.  The approach being taken is to lay out a series of scenarios for Board/Council consideration.  Mr. Hopper indicated that a grid will be developed to display lack of costs associated with the various scenarios being developed.  An interim report will be presented to the Government Operations/Facilities Committee on August 23, 2005.

 

Storage Issues at Rocky Hill High School

Discussion centered on the continuing storage problems at the high school.  Mr. Wisnioski presented a series of photographs documenting storage problems and fire marshal concerns.  A request will be submitted to Planning & Zoning to allow for the placement of storage trailers at the high school while a permanent solution to the storage problem at the high school is sought.

 

Indoor Air Quality Plan

This item requires further review before it will be considered by the Board of Education for adoption.
