Minutes of Meeting

 

 

A special meeting of the Facilities Committee of the Rocky Hill Board of Education was held on Thursday, September 15, 2005, in the superintendent's conference room.  Present were:  J. Kirk Bostwick, Peter Arico, Anne Schmidt, Nadine Bell, Catherine Vargas, Director, Finance and Operations, Gregory P. Turansky, and Asst. Supt. Laura R. Boutilier.  The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

 

Feasibility Study

There was nothing new to report.  The next joint meeting of the Facilities Committee and Government Operations Committee will be October 11, 2005 at 5:30 p.m.  At this meeting the feasibility study report will be presented.

 

Storage Issues at Rocky Hill High School

A storage issues’ meeting was held at the high school where it was decided Kim Ricci will prepare a site plan and do a presentation to Planning & Zoning to add three more storage containers at the high school.

 

Discussion was held on who would have keys, timelines, and any agreement on how long to keep the storage trailers.

 

Other issue discussed was the relocation of three portable bathrooms at the high school to an area less visible and the fence for storage of pole vault mats, movement of dumpsters, and placement of storage shed.

 

Coordination Meeting between Superintendent of Schools and Town Manager

Mr. Turansky reviewed highlights of topics discussed: midget football, fire marshal reports and related items, Rec Track, auditorium issues, universal gym donations, and storage issues.

 

The meeting adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
