A special meeting of the Board of Education was held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 in the Superintendent’s Conference Room in the Rocky Hill Town Hall. Vice Chairman Rene Rivard called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

1. Special Substitute Pay

Recently hired special substitute, George Tanner, has accepted an interim position in another district effective January, 2, 2008. Interim Superintendent, Carol Parmelee-Blancato is requesting that the Board approve the special substitute pay rate of $425 per day to fill this position.

Motion: That the superintendent be authorized to hire special substitute at the rate up to $425 per day. Ammended by Charles Wisnioski and accepted by Catherine Vargas.

MOTION CARRIED

Moved by Catherine Vargas, seconded by Charles McMonigle, to adjourn meeting at 5:37 p.m.
