A special meeting of the Board of Education was held on Monday, December 17, 2007 in the Superintendent’s Conference Room in the Rocky Hill Town Hall.  Chairman William MacDonald called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

1.  Request to Adjust 2007-2008 School Calendar

Carol Parmelee-Blancato, Interim Superintendent of Schools stated that “The Board of Education has the responsibility for establishing the school calendar, therefore, the administration is requesting that the Board approve January 7, 2008 as an early dismissal day. The snow day on Thursday, December 13, 2007 called for the cancellation of early release day for elementary school students for parent/teacher report card conferences.”

Motion: That the Board of Education approve January 7, 2008 as an Elementary School Early Dismissal Day for elementary parent/teacher conferences.

Moved by Catherine Vargas, seconded by Charles McMonigle, to adjourn meeting at 5:40 p.m.
