BRIGHT BEGINNINGS INTEGRATED PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

PROGRAM INFORMATION

  • Bright Beginnings is an integrated preschool program that meets the needs of special education and regular education students. 

  • Regular education students (typical models) are selected for the program via application and screening. The fee is $3100.00 for the school year. 

  • Preschool students attend their home schools (Stevens or West Hill Elementary School). 

  • Classes are held Monday through Thursday. The morning session is 8:45-11:30am and the afternoon session is 12:45-3:30pm. 

  • Each classroom is staffed with a certified teacher and paraprofessionals. 

  • Students also benefit from frequent contact with the Speech and Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist and BCBA.

If you believe your child is showing some developmental delays or communication concerns, please contact Sarah St. Pierre

 

You will need to register your child with RHPS, complete a special education referral form linked here Special Education Referral Form to share your concerns, and attend a meeting with the Bright Beginnings team.  Use the registration link to register your child.

SCHOOL TO HOME COMMUNICATION

Bright Beginnings uses SeeSaw as the platform for communication and posting of materials and information. 

 

Parent teacher conferences are held yearly. 

 

Teachers assist with planning and transition to Kindergarten. Students that attend Bright Beginnings are already confident with the school surroundings and community which eases their transition. 

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation for students placed in the Bright Beginnings program through a PPT will be provided by the Rocky Hill Public Schools. Parents will be expected to provide transportation for their students who are peer models in the program.

Bright Beginnings has four full time certified teachers, two full time speech and language pathologists and a number of paraprofessionals assigned to the program. In addition, the school occupational therapists, physical therapists, and Board certified behavior analyst also support the teachers and students.
